Carpet Restored During Residential Clean-up of Flooded Basement by Sewer Pipe, Wayne, NJ
Water Damage to the carpet, and flooring of this finished basement space was immediately responded to in order to extract the water, clean, and dry-out the area before any mold growth could set in. Due to SERVPRO of Wayne’s quick response to this after-hours emergency service call, the water was able to be extracted from the carpet, saved, and cleaned during the room’s dry-out process, which did involve the moving, blocking and padding of furniture, and carpet, in order to dry-out the floor’s underlayment. All areas required an anti-microbial application agent, water extraction, heavy cleaning, air movers, and large dehumidifiers to restore the room areas for re-use. SERVPRO followed all required health and safety practices for the quick clean-up and restoration of this level Category 3 hazardous flood water contamination.
